So the inlaws went away for a few days so I thought I would have another go at this ants nest we have out the back ... we've tried poisoning them, we've tried flooding them out ... Metho down their hole.... these *Gentleman*s are tough ... SO I thought about it and came up with this little prototype it certainly needs a little more guts but the concept is strong, the ants are attracted to the high voltage approx 8kva as you will see in the Video, once we are all off grid and growing our own vegies etc chemicals etc are not going to be the way most of us would want to go, we need something to clean up the problem pests but leave no lasting nasty chemicals that may make it into our vegie patches / water supplies etc ....

So i give to you (in prototype form at least)
THE ANT KILLER 8000!

Next up I'm wiring up a mot or 2 ... we had the voltage, but we didn't have the current to penetrate the earth .... well .. I can fix that lol .. stay tune for ep2 :)

Thats about the coolest non conventional thing I think Ive seen.

Add a little Wardenclyff, Tesla style by driving the grounding rods deep into the ground and drive those buggers out into a lightning field. LOL

Hi Kultus

Yet another excellent use/application for high voltages , lol

Whilst watching your video you commented that the ants were drawn to the high voltage cable , could this be due to the frequency ( or maybe slight ionisation of the air around the cable ) ?

Bee's seem to respond to certain frequencies , do ants do the same ? Below are a few links to monitoring Bee's
