Thanks for uploading this video on microwave parts, should help a good few while doing this ^^ You didnt need that small fan motor but the coil in it is a good high ohm coil to use as an drive coil(efficient) or a high voltage generator coil with or without the nice core that comes with it :)
Kultus-there is two small line welds(tig) on one end of the Ecore-just cut through them and the end plates will come off. Then put in a vice so that the coils are sitting on the jaws of the vice and carefuly tap the ecor out -about 20 plates at a time.Pays to put a rag under the coils so there not siitting on the steel jaws of the vice
Remember-when you make a mistake you have just learned how not to do it.This only brings you one step closser to success. The only way to fail is to never try>>>>TinMan<<<<
Need suggestions on what to do with the copper-like braided ring on top of the magnitron tube. There is one and I have a bunch but don't know exactly what to do with them. - Hate to throw anything away that we may be able to use in the school for kids projects.
Hey Shakamuni01 You have to bridge across the terminals to discharge but the resistor would be safer.I have 2 cheap clip leads that I burnt the ends right off. LOL I belive most of the microwave caps already have an internal resistor so they should bleed down on there own. But be safe and check first.
