Here is the old motor i picked up on the weekend.
Once removing the head,i found the bore was rusted out right through to the water jacket.
Unless i can find another the same-i think she's finished.

Hey Tinman,
Was it cast as one piece or does it have a sleeve ?

Hi kudzu
It has a sleeve,so i can make a new one of them.
But the piston came out in two pieces, and i would imagin that one of them may be a bit hard to get.
The head is also rusted that bad that the valve seat's are gone.
This will be a big job this one lol.

Hey Tinman,
Which brand , model , and year is that engine ?

If you can't find parts /// there are folks on y/t that show how to cast your own replacement parts at home .

I recon if you were gonna run it on gas without a lead additive , the valve's and seat's would need to be replaced with hardened ones anyway .

Yeah , that is gonna be a long process anyway you go, to bring that one back , most have went to scrap .

Hey Tinman,
I found this while searching ... If they don't have part's you need , they have info posted of what other places may have info and parts ...

IDK , anything about them, other than the info that's on the page .
