This rocks. I have already bought Brian's previous plans, and I can attest when he releases a DVD, it's worth every penny. He also appeared on SmartScarecrow a while back (I think)

Look promising! Will have to look into this one.
If hand cranked, I would have to put some gears on it. Bit to fast for hand cranking.

Well it would be easy aslong as some one else was doing the cranking lol.
But a very nice simple design indeed.

swim at 90 degrees to the current and gain speed in two directions
