Hi KC,

Thats is a real cool system control setup for under $40...i like it...;-)
I have some old car bats and a small solar panel so i could make this setup and drive some tiny lamps at night with it...

Correct! The solar charge controller will automatically start running a load up to the rated (20A) off the connected battery for 1,2,3... to 15 hrs after sundown, depending on which number you have the display set to, rather simple. It has bulk, float and equalization charge modes as well. You do have to improvise a good connection; they are very small connectors, the downside, but then again, it's a 20A unit, not a 30A or 40A controller, so they are adequate. I tested it all out last night running about 300 watts of lights, outdoors. The controller killed the load at 11.1V, as explained in the manual, so that's great, you can't kill the battery.

Thanks for the extra info on it...;-)
My lights will be Leds lamps because of their efficiency...so it will be low wattage...^^
Btw, it doesnt matter what kinda load you run on it right...???
Think i might run a efficient JT kinda circuit on it that runs my lights...
I think thats the best way to go instead just direct from system to load...;-)
