This 12 Volt 4.5 Amp/h Lead cealed acid battery is behaving strangely.

It seems to be charging itself while delivering 100 milliamp to a
bank of 24 LEDs. Hummm! ... Yea.

I have conditioned this battery often with a pulse generator. I used the solid state pulse generator, that I built.

Has anyone experience this before?

Hi Jet

SD3T and I see this all the time with the T105 batteries. All it means is the battery still needs more C&D or to say it is full of sulfated plates. By the looks of what you showed it was only drawing 100 ma on that battery and that should stay much higher voltage with only 100ma draw I have done study with a 4 ah battery and was drawing 1 and 1/2 amps from them (8) total and only stopped when they went below 12.0 volts and that took on the best battery 145 minutes and 85 on the worst. That tells me that battery is in bad shape and that is why it goes down and then up.

Hi 49er. It is very interesting. I never observed this before. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Hi Jet

you see this type of thing in the winter time and you go out to start the car and it 30 below and you only get one rollover so you turn on your headlights for 5 minutes and the battery warms up and then will start your car. Same Same
