Hey yall, I need to know a good transistor to upgrade to. I am using 2n3904 to oscillate my circuit, the supply voltage is 6 volts. I would like to get more power out without burning it up.
Thanks in advance.

Hey Guy's,
Don't forget about the "2N3055HV" it handle's even higher voltage but, it's a bit more expensive ...

Hi Guys,

Not sure this is the right place for this question, but why do we use NPN transistors as opposed to PNPs?

Thanks,

Jamie

Hi Short

NPN can be use - feed to the transistor base. The PNP will be the + to the base. or if wired correctly I think will work on a N/S/N/S and fire on every magnet. Hope I said that right.
