Hi HK

I have one but doesn't do the litzing I use it for small coils that you would use for generator coils and holds 4-11# coils. For litz coils I still like my way to measure it out and twist them all but it is very hard in the snow. LOL 10 or 11 strands is what I can do at one time if the spool is big enough.

Hey Guy's ,
I ran across this one a few week's ago .. If you make the opening bigger then it should have no trouble winding regular coil's, also toroid's if you wanted ... I think it a neat and useful coil winder design myself ..Maybe use a calculator counter on both or a good pedometer ( a good step counter ) for the toroid or coil winding ring .

I still think the only dumb questions are the one's you didn't ask ...

Hi FP

I would Waite to make a winder until you figure what you want to make for a coil. reason air coils don't need to be perfect.

Hi FP

My first coils were hand wound from 2 wire sizes 26/23 ga 450 turns will take you 15 minutes. Just wind it and then put a core in it one transistor 2 diodes and a pot and your wheel is another story but you will find something that you will like. Most important thing is make your own thread for your first motor. Ask for all the help you need.
