A fuel source that produces oxygen as its end product.

I don't know how long the carbon rods would last.

That's very interesting is the fuel compressible?

I suspect you'd use something like this (but I'm not sure)

HI ALL

I ran a movie projector in the old film days and they would last about 2 reals or 40 minutes. Its cool but it takes a lot of power to make the arc. IMHO

Running a movie projector? where is the connection to carbon arc'ing to produce COH2? lol I suspect the problem here would be the cost of the carbon rods, and the dealing with the constantly changing spark gap situation. It's no good to have fuel production system that you have to constantly "operate" really. Especially if it only produced the equivalent energy of a gallon of gas, over a several hour period, anyway...

Yeah it doesnt look too practical. You could probably set up an arduino with a light sensor and a servo pretty easily to keep feeding it.

Hi KC

shak ask how long would they last and we would run the projector about 40 minutes with one rod. Also you need to feed the at a continuous feed to keep a long light going and remember safety your welding so wear welding glasses.

I still don't get it LOL. Make the connection for me 49'er - what does a film projector running for 40 minutes have to do with an arcing carbon rod underwater... ... ... are you saying that the rod lasted at least 40 minutes, given that, that is how long you ran the projector?
