Here's what I have:

Nothing more than a good old 12v 2aH Makita NiCad drill battery.

I'm currently re-charging them in their base through my inverter.
I've run them through the little test SSG Solar Unit to see if maintance helps keeps them going, being NiCad and all'..
But that's maintance, not everyday charging.

Now that I see what a Joule Ringer (new to me) will do with 110v lights run off the battery direct...

I'm curious if others are using, re-charging and how??

Maybe just charging them in the SSG SU is the answer for me..
Takes all day, but I'm not here while it's charging.. No big deal..

Should be able to do this better..

Hi ODR

You should be charging it at .1 amp for 20 hrs. LOL SLOW
you can charge it at I think 4 amps so probably 30 min or less or 5 amps 15 to 20. That is what I used to charge my remote control cars at but we ran only 8 minutes long. You can kick there ass if you want but it shortens there life. One thing is how much in power will the connections take??

Thanks Doug

Looks I will go back on the solar SS SSG and setup a charging station there.
The Solar SS never did produce much, mainly because of the weak 'project' panel I was using.
Have a couple of 15w's now I can dedicate to this.

Hey, what's one more project!!

Mark off one more project!
Well, not quite yet... Still need to clean-up a bit.

Charging station running!
Solar SS SSG back up running better than ever.
