Hey guys just a quick walk through of the dangers and wiring etc of a fridge compressor to use as a compressor or Vacuum pump...

Great vid Kultus.

When it stops within 5 min, can it run again when cooled down or is it game over without the oil?

some have internal cutoffs, but you should be able to jerry rig one with the help of a microwave oven temp switche, I would think, SD came prolly help you more as he's the man when it comes to details on these things ... mine has the internal cut off (already over heated it once) so it's something you'll have to work on mate I would love a video response from anyone who does manage to set the right temp and make a cutoff for it. I would think somewhere in the 80-150 deg range like the cut offs in the microwaves we've all pulled apart.

Would it maybe be wise to you use the old freezer element as a radiator for chilling the water ? ... just a thought ...
